One of the MANY five star reviews!

INZARED, Queen of the Elephant Riders by L Leander is a lovely book. It bubbles along emitting an enchantingly engaging story line that is both unique and suitable for all ages. Something quite unusual these days. This is a fine example of an historical family saga done well plus an equally worthy display of cleverly timed and skilfully crafted fiction. Quite rare and very, very satisfying, five stars.   –   Erin

GOLDEN REVIEW Book! “Dignity” by Eva Caye

What will the greatest ruling family in the history of the galaxy be like?

When the studious, determined microengineer Lady Felicia Sorensen is asked to partner Emperor Victor Sinclair at a ball, little does she realize that her world is about to be overturned. Sick of the socialites who can only see his status, the Emperor falls madly in love with her. But she is so single-minded in her dedication to her scientific career that she treads, more than once, on his most painful memories and psychological issues!

Nevertheless, he is so determined to have her that he entices her with all the resources at his command, from sexual stimulation and outrageously expensive gowns to promising her that she can ‘write her own job description’. Is it love, or is it manipulation? Felicia does not want to be merely the source of ova for the Imperial Heir, nor does she like being the center of attention. And an assassination attempt proves that the publicity of being an Imperial fiancée means her mere presence generates continuous danger, even from rival scientists on other planets!

Will Felicia choose her Imperial lover and tough out the extreme political and social pressures with the supreme ruler of the Empire, or will she choose her goals and help thousands, millions, possibly billions of people through her intellectual achievements?

This science fiction romance is the first of the seven-part To Be Sinclair series. The saga begins with DIGNITY and its companion volume MAJESTY, which describe the romance and first years of marriage of the Emperor and Empress of the Sinclair Demesnes. A few scenes describe sexually explicit behavior.

One thing I really appreciated about this book is that the science is important, but not at all overwhelming. A lot of people think science fiction is all about the concepts. Ms. Caye is all about the story, as Felicia’s scientific knowledge shows itself little by little, and ends up helping Victor save the day. What’s most important is how she shows science isn’t just a disipline. It’s research by real people for real needs.

Dignity is a very easy, free-flowing read. It is precise and clear, as if someone were describing the scenes of a movie, except they also know what’s going on in the character’s head.

I am anxiously awaiting Ms. Caye’s next book!  –  Casey Logan

As the investigation uncovers secrets, Lia struggles to cope with warring emotions and a killer watches.

was expecting to be entertained, but found this novel to be far more than a delightful romp through the dog park. The author creates believable characters that make me want to know more about these people, all the while presenting an exquisite sense of detail to really flesh out the story, with a compelling sense of humor. Even better than that? The plot twists. Good luck trying to puzzle out who REALLY “done it”! This murder mystery works on many levels. I highly recommend it.   – Corvus

About The Gatsby Game:

This novel offers a possible solution to a real unsolved Hollywood mystery—the death in 1973 of David Whiting during the filming of the Burt Reynolds’ movie, “The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing”. Whiting was found dead in the motel room of the actress Sarah Miles. It destroyed Sarah Miles’ career and her marriage.

When Nicky Conway meets Fitzgerald-quoting Alistair at a Princeton mixer in 1969, she falls for his retro, Jazz-Age charm. But she discovers he’s a con man obsessed with his own “Daisy”—British actress Delia Kent. After Alistair manipulates Nicky into nannying for Delia’s daughter on the set of a Hollywood film, Delia finds Alistair dead in her motel room. Local police can’t decide if it’s accident, suicide—or murder, in which case, Nicky is the prime suspect.

Foreword by Kindle-UK best-seller Saffina Desforges (“Sugar & Spice”).

GOLDEN REVIEW Book! “Dangerous Waters” by Anne Allen

“The island of Guernsey is so vividly evoked, one feels as if one is walking its byways. An atmospheric and tantalising read” — Elizabeth Bailey The Gilded Shroud ‘Anne’s characters are well formed and likeable (or unlikeable as the case may be)… The two types of story intertwine without the awkwardness sometimes found in this genre. A pleasant diversion” — Chris Wible The Shepherd’s Image ‘I’ve never been to Guernsey but I’m determined to go now that I’ve read this book. It’s a book you can settle into and really enjoy, but it’s a lot more than chick-lit. There’s an intriguing mystery, a finish which had me reading into the early hours of the morning and an insight into what I think of as the back-end of the publishing industry – the bit that the reader never sees or even knows exists. It’s delivered with a light touch but gives the book real depth. I was impressed. ****’ —

I’ve never been to the Channel Islands but this book made me long to see the places mentioned. The author has a good geographical knowledge of Guernsey, or she has done her research extremely well. I enjoyed the pace of the story, at times slow to match the lazy summer days, at other times racing to keep pace with the mystery and intrigue hidden below the main plot.
The romance of the story runs alongside the thrill of danger providing a nice foil to the tension created by the past. This book reminded me of romance books of a few decades ago, but with that little bit extra. Well worth the read and congratulations to Anne Allen for a well crafted novel.   – Sue Pernz

One of the MANY five star reviews!

I just finished “This Time You Lose”. It kept me on the edge of my seat and couldnt put it down until I finished late last night. (which didnt go over well at work today /yawn).
Anyway, I recently purchased a new kindle and have been knocking out many of the so called “Best Sellers” or “Top Authors” and let me tell you, this ranks right up there with the best of them. With so many books I feel at first lost waiting for a book to start making sense, where you can understand totally whats going on and feeling a part of the story. Well “This Time You Lose” grabbed me from the first page until the last, with excellent charactor creation she made the reader understand, sympathize, and totally relate to each and every charactor from beginning to end. This gets 5s all the way. I look forward to more by this very talented author.   –  Stephen C. Doran

When I first read the book, I was a little thrown off by the 1st person present tense. I almost stopped reading the book about 2 pages in because I was unsure about that. However, I decided to continue on and was actually really surprised with how much I liked the book. There are a few twists that I didn’t see coming and it had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. The balance between romance and suspense was perfectly executed. I would definitely recommend this!    – LindsayB
