What a book! Drama, mystery, romance and suspense all rolled up in one package.

Shannon is the main character, and she has had her fair share of misfortune in this life. When she was six years old her father was murdered right in front of her and she almost died in the attack as well.
She went to live with her great uncle after that, as her mother couldn’t be bothered with her.
As a retired navy seal he taught her how to take care of herself and stay calm under pressure.

These traits will prove to come in handy as she starts college and ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The only good thing is that the horrible assult she suffered ended up bringing her into her new family. Kavy, Cally and Sully would do anything for her and vice versa.

However, things start to get complicated when she meets the son of prime witness to her fathers attack, Kel. He ends up really falling for her, but dating a girl who is more like a guy might be more than he bargained for.

To add some suspense to the story, Shannon receives death threats after her fathers old enemies realize she survived the attack so many years ago. This prompts her to hire a body guard….like she really needs another guy around her 24/7!

The ending…..whew!! I can’t hardly wait until April!
Highly recommend and a solid five stars.

When Dylan Kellerman enters Shannon’s life he changes its course in more ways than one. He gives her hope and promise of a future she was convinced wasn’t attainable. Just as she begins to believe she has finally turned her life into something she can build a future on…blackness takes over.
