ON A REVIEW SITE:
This is one of those hard to write reviews. I loved the book and would be able to say a TON of things about it……only I don’t want to ruin it for anyone else! The author has a way of writing at the perfect pace. It makes you hooked from the first few pages and has you leaving your house a mess and (in my case) children to make chaos!
Gable is such a great character. He comes off super hard, and as a retired black ops agent it isn’t hard to believe.
He left his home and family without a word some thirty years earlier and never went back……or called…but when he got word that his mother died in a tragic accident the prodigal son returns.
This is where the story really gets going. He meets Kari, the detective that deemed his mothers death a hunting accident.
They get off to a rocky start, obviously she doesn’t like the fact that he is digging around and basically calling her incompetent.
Once he decides that his mother’s death is anything but an accident he will do whatever it takes to bring vengeance to her killers. The ending will have you in tears. At least it had me in tears!
Definitely don’t miss this one! I see it is .99 cents at the moment and I don’t know how long it will last, so don’t delay. However, it is worth the purchase at any cost 😉
Gable Fitzgerald has spent his life as a covert operative–first with SEAL Team Six, and then with a highly covert Black Ops team. Now retired, Gable will search for the killer of his mother with all the skills he has developed to take down enemy governments. Working against both the good guys and the bad guys, he will go up against a beautiful state agent who will do everything she can to keep him inside the law. With his only rule: the mission must be accomplished, Gable will work his way through organized gangs and drug dealers to find out not only who would execute his seventy-seven year-old mother, but why, and God help anyone who gets in his way.
