ON A REVIEW SITE:
I must admit, I knew I was going to enjoy this book pretty much from the start. Why? The main character’s name is Philadelphia. Phil for short.
Who can resist a book that shows such promise? Not I!
Of course this book has the normal elements that all romance novels have, BUT it has such a good plot, characters, and dialogue that you don’t notice the ‘same ol same ol’ story line.
Another thing I loved was the author really knew how to use dialogue to her advantage. In some books you can tell the dialogue is just there because it has to be, but with this one it was there because it was awesome! There were some parts that had me laughing out loud.
I completely fell in the love with the characters. Phil was a kick-butt heroine. Following her and Rod while they set off to find her missing uncle was so much fun! If you love books that have lots of adventures while still having the romance we all want then this book is a must read.
I definitely have a book hangover now, the sure fire way to know the book you just read was amazing!
I will be recommending this book to everyone.
Feisty librarian longs for the excitement of her youth, when she spent summers exploring the Amazon and Maya ruins with her controversial uncle. Hunky writer is looking for her missing uncle but is delighted to run into the niece instead. Putting on a macho guy act, he talks her into letting him tag along when the fascinating, kick-butt librarian sets off on a hilarious adventure to rediscover herself and rescue her beloved uncle.
