Prophecy Of The Female Warrior
Annabelle (Anna) is mourning the recent loss of her husband Joe; their time together cut short when he dies unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm. Anna has always had a gift of sensing truth and has even experienced minor visions, but when she touches her dead husband during the funeral, she witnesses a creature attacking him before he died. Her friends and family worry about her, yet Anna becomes convinced that not only did someone murder Joe, she is now being watched and followed. When her stalker makes himself known, the mysterious Eli reveals that Anna isn’t even human. Her husband’s tragic death has now led her to the path she should have taken; becoming a prophesised female warrior of the Nephilim, descendants of angels.
POTFW is a great start to a new paranormal/fantasy romance series. There is believable growth as Anna morphs from a grieving widow into a kick-ass warrior babe who has a whole bunch of men vying for her affections. Her intimate encounters are certainly heated, but one could question the speed in which she starts jumping into bed with or fantasising about other men considering how recently her husband passed away. There are some clever twists and turns to the plot as Anna wonders who she can trust and a great ending that certainly leaves you wondering what Anna plans to do in further books.
Anna Wilkins is prototypical 34 year old housewife. She buys groceries, picks up the dry cleaning and host dinner parties.
